5678 Productions : Our Vision

To nurture the creative potential of young individuals and to positively impact on the landscape of drama and dance – how it is taught, learned and talked about. My passion is to develop learners as creative, imaginative individuals who appreciate the arts.

We aim to:

  • provide learners with exposure to and experiences in dance and drama;
  • develop creative, expressive performers;
  • identify and nurture artistic talent;
  • and develop an awareness of arts across diverse cultures.

Dance Parties

Dance parties are customized to suit theme and age. An hour and a half of dance and movement related games and exercises, culminating in a performance of a dance routine learnt during the party. The kids get to dress up from an assortment of costumes, props, hats, wigs etc and perform for the parents.

5678 Productions in association with St Mary’s School for Girls

facilitates a co-curricular programme in dance, drama & ballet

Dance: The program provides opportunities for learners to experience the joy of dancing and to learn how to use their bodies safely. I want to develop their fitness for dancing and to develop sufficient basic skills to equip them for maximizing their potential.

Dance develops skills such as coordination, strength, flexibility, stamina, endurance and control all of which require regular practice.

Drama: Drama encourages learners to represent human experiences, explore relationships between people in real or imagined situations and help him or her understand the world. The learner is encouraged to make decisions and to take responsibility. The creative exploration of themes and issues, creates a safe context for this exploration. Since the body and voice are the primary means of communication and expression in drama, they must be used safely and effectively.

Ballet: This highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary has been globally influential and has defined the foundational techniques used in many other dance genres. Ballet requires years of training to learn and master, and much practice to retain proficiency. It has been taught in ballet schools around the world, which have historically used their own cultures to evolve the art.
